When Will actually turns towards him and he can see more than the tenseness in his shoulders and is able to focus in on the overwhelmed look in his eyes, Mike suddenly regrets asking for a ride home. Not because he doesn't trust him to drive, but because he thinks maybe he should've given him a moment to recover from whatever that phone call had been. There's something almost robotic in the way Will says goodbye to the others and moves to the door and Mike's chest tightens a little with worry. He's seen Will disassociate enough to know the signs of him withdrawing into himself and he knows that the reasons for it are never good.

He jogs to catch up with him, grabbing his jacket on the way out. It's been a rainy spring break, much to everyone's dismay, and though it's not raining at the moment, he can smell it on the air. He waits until he's inside the car before he turns to Will. "Are you okay?"

His brow is furrowed in concern and he clenches his fingers nervously in the pockets of his jacket. This is the first time they've been alone since he's arrived and he's grateful for the chance to talk to Will one on one, but he also feels strange nerves twisting in his stomach.

He pauses a moment before frowning. "Did you and Daniel break up?"
